Your purchase combats period poverty. Globally, up to 500 million women and girls live in period poverty.
Period poverty is the inability for women and girls to access safe, hygienic sanitary products and hand washing facilities. Additionally, it looks at the inability to access these services due to stigma inflicted on them by their communities.

Why period period poverty? Because keeping a girl in school can break the cycle of poverty in one generation.
According to UNESCO, 1 in 10 girls will miss school because they do not have access to sanitary products or because they do not have safe, private toilets at their schools. Periods can have a huge impact on a girl's education. We believe missing days at school can lead girls to drop out of school, leading them to become child brides, and at a greater risk of falling pregnant at a young age
We decided that a portion of the profit of every one of your VEVBLEU purchases - no matter how big or small - would help end period poverty.
We believe that ending period poverty is a fight that we must all fight. Here at VEVBLEU, we are going to help you join the campaign and help to keep a girl child in school.
Our "Ending Period Poverty" fund will be used to purchase safe, reusable sanitary products which will be donated to underprivileged school-aged girls throughout South Africa.
But we won't stop there. The school will be provided with educational posters and pamphlets; educating learners and staff about menstruation and period poverty. Combating the stigma attached to a natural and beautiful phase of a young woman's life.
Make an impact and help to fight against period poverty.
